The sites are positively huge! Easy in and out. Friendly. We stayed 4 nights. Arboretum to walk to. Clean as a whistle.

Nearly brand new and looks it. Very clean. Although right on the highway it is not a bit noisy. Real nice place with nice owners. Looks like there is a corral out back of the office for those of you with horses. Too expensive for us but about the same as every other place around there. Easy drive to White Sands.

A happy place to be. Lots of activities - something going on all the time. Good areas to walk and bike ride all around the little lake. The mission of this "campground" is to build houses for the poor in Mexico and to achieve that end, residents donate items for auction and raise the money themselves. They just completed their 14th house! There's a woodshop, clubhouse with breakfast and some lunches and tons of games going on at all times (or line dancing, quilting, swedish weaving - you name it) a pool shaped like the state of Texas, and a little island in the middle of the lake to walk out to for some meditative time. Lots of birding. A flock of parrots just flew over. Wal-Mart is very close as is a large flea market on the weekends. Good place to spend a few months. Laid back - nothing hoity toidy - just good honest working folk. No complaints thus far.

Brent and Keffer are wonderful hosts and we had a lovely stay at this park. Small, quiet and right in the heart of Cajun country. Easy access. The seafood restaurant close enough to walk to is Shucks and the oysters and crab cakes are the best we've had in years. The meat market, Richards, you can walk to from Shucks. Try their boudin and boudin balls. Marvelous. Tour the nearby Tabasco factory and gardens. Shop in Layfatte and enjoy the friendly culture. Will return.

We're here now and there's lots of room. Will stay here about a mo. so had to buy a "blue wagon". Your choices in the Dallas area are so very limited that you might as well buy one too and get on down here. Great place to stay in that it is roomy and clean and close to everything - shopping, food, etc. Cannot beat the price with the "old folks discount". Great cell and Wi-Fi connectivity. No doubt really beautiful beside the lake in the spring and summer. Right now? Too cold to go out there. Really wishing we were in Florida but not cause this place is bad.

Gorgeous little hidden gem of a park. Positively enormous sites. Back right up to the water. Lots of wildlife. Spotted deer herd, listened to coyotes, owls, armadillos, herons, ducks. Sat under the Milky Way. Took a long walk in the rustling fall leaves. Wonderful place. Will return.

One of the few state parks that accept the national parks card. Sweet park about 13 miles from the Quarter. Clean and neat with lots of space between spots. Apparently there is a wave pool open in the summer. Security although it is unneeded. In a wetlands so good walking and wildlife. Cannot be beaten for access to Nawlin's.

Beautiful park and lake. Sites positively enormous. Nice swimming beach in the right weather. Easy in and out. Could only stay one night cause they were closing for the year. Lots of wildlife. Would happily come back for a week or two.

OK park if passing through. Some like it for wintering. Sites big enough but with lots of road noise if in the back. Nothing to look at what so ever. You pay extra for electric. Wasn't my cup of tea but nothing wrong with it.

Nice city park with great location on the Tennessee river. Quiet. Easy in and out. Nice folks. Often used by locals. No shade in area for big rigs so would be hot in summer without your own canopy. Table, grill but no fire ring. Great view of water traffic and you can take an hour and 1/2 tour with lunch on a paddlewheeler down the river for $20.00. Will stay again when in area.

We had to be pretty motivated to locate this park but once in, we were glad to be there. Quiet, clean, super laundry. Easy drive to Graceland and Bealle St. Tables and fire rings. Nice play area for children if you've got them. Fall leaves were wonderful. Lovely walks. Will return if in the area.

If you are a fan of Miss Lynn's you cannot miss staying here. It's as if you are an invited guest! The whole extended family works here or near here and you can meet them as well as see the museum, mansion, old cabin from Butcher Hollow and maybe run in to Loretta herself. The park is beautiful and well maintained although slightly difficult to get into. Doolittle built the park himself when they weren't quite so big! One of Loretta's old tour buses is already there though and you can rent it for the night if you choose. It's expensive but don't hesitate if you are in the area. It was an experience I will remember for years to come. Loved every minute!

I was just checking out places we stayed in '08 and am astonished to see less than great comments about this park. We stayed here for 4 weeks. and loved it. The location is phenomenal for Salt Lake and Provo and there is plenty to do in both towns. Great to shopping too. The bike path that starts nearly at your campsite is very long and very beautiful as it winds its way along the river. You can't see Utah Lake from your RV but you can bike or walk to it and can swim from the nice beach. It is beautiful to look at. The wildlife is spectacular all around the area. Only drawback I can think of is that there is no sewer. However, I would go back in a heartbeat. Loved this place. In the spring and early summer it must be fabulous.
